Tenant Belongings

Has a tenant moved out and left their belongings in your property? Be sure to follow legal advice as the tenant can still make a damage claim against you.

Items left in your property are still the tenants, avoid throwing away, selling it or ignoring the issue, everything still belongs to them.

Send your tenant a formal letter via recorded delivery and explain that you want to sell their items or get them removed from the property.

You may be able to charge the tenant for the cost of clearing your property and storage afterwards, be sure to follow guidelines
